💖Happy Valentines Day!💘

During this time of year, we turn to look at our relationships established with other people. For some, this may not be a happy time.

Maybe we’ve been hurt, neglected or abused.

All we wanted was to give our hearts and to have someone love us in return. Unconditionally. We didn’t want to be taken advantage of. We didn’t want to be unsure nor uncertain of their true feelings for us. We didn’t want to just mark time and stay in a relationship so that we can say that we are not alone.

This is not true love.

In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, look at how the Bible describes love:

1 Corinthians 13:4-5, “Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful…”

Hebrews 13:5b, “…for he has said, “I will never leave you or forsake you.”

So as we celebrate love with one another, do not forget about nor neglect to have that love relationship with our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus. John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.”
