Don’t Forget

Psalms 63:5
“My soul is satisfied as with a rich feast,
and my mouth praises you with joyful lips.”
Even in a wilderness experience, or especially while in a wilderness experience, it is so important that we call upon the name of the Lord.
David was in a dry place. There was no water, no renewal by the word of God being given to him.
He was tired and weary perhaps from attacks to his body as well as to his soul.
But he remembered better days, different opportunities, when he was in a different place and had different opportunities; when he was blessed to be in the house of the Lord and to worship Him.
David did not forget his past.
This is a lesson for us.
When we are going through difficult times and we may be outside the will of God or we may be outside of the range to hear His voice; remember to give Him praise for what He has done for us in the past. How He blessed us and kept us. How He provided for us with His mighty right hand. How He gave us His refreshing water in a dry and weary place.
When we start thinking about and praising God for all that He has done, we take the ‘woe is me’ attention off of ourselves and put our attention back where it should be. Giving praise, honor and glory to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.
Be Blessed!
